I have a Christmas cactus. I have had this plant for quite awhile now. It has always had a mind of its own. It used to bloom around Thanksgiving, but it didn't bloom last year or the year before. I don't know why, it just didn't bloom. Then this past year, it didn't bloom for Thanksgiving. It didn't bloom for Christmas. This year it decided to bloom for Valentines Day. Proof that everyone blooms when they are ready.
I was at a fun event yesterday - The Maven Market. The event coordinator was great and those there to help were unbelievable. I hope I get to go back again. It was well worth the disaster. Here's the disaster. I had the racks and all the boards up on the racks. Just before the guy came over to put up the tent for me, a big gust of wind knocked over 2 of the racks. What a mess! I picked up the racks, picked up the boards, and just shook my head. There was so much jewelry on the ground. After I got the boards back up and the racks tied to the tent so they wouldn't blow over again, I started to put things back up. One of the boards had a crack in it - still usable thank goodness. Some of the jewelry had broken. I set those aside and then fixed what I could. A bunch of it was a huge tangled mess. I had a bit of time before the event started so I began to untangle.
